PRECISE RISK EVALUATION

FIRE Consultancy

We can assist business owners throughout the lifecycle of each building.

As an integral part of our service, we offer Fire Safety Site Auditor services, with the option of including Operation & Maintenance (O&M) support. This can be commissioned as part of a complete package or as a standalone offering, tailored to the specific needs of your property, ensuring a high standard of fire safety preparedness and compliance.

Outlined below is how we can assist building owners in ensuring the safety of their premises throughout each RIBA stage from post design stage up to occupation.

Fire Consultancy
RIBA Stage 4

Developing the information required to manufacture and construct the building. This requires input from the design team and the specialist subcontractors employed by the contractor.

At this early stage our Fire Safety Site Auditors can get involved to ensure compliance with the fire strategy from inception through to occupation.

RIBA Stage 5

When the building is manufactured and constructed.

At this stage our Fire Safety Site Auditor can put in place a schedule of inspections to be undertaken throughout the project to aid with ensuring compliance with the fire strategy. Further information available on request.

RIBA Stage 6

Building handover.

At Handover, we are able to carry out a pre-occupation FRA which will utilize the building fire strategy and ensure compliance. This should be carried out prior to second fix in order to assess door linings, installation of services and any fire stopping works. Any fire stopping works included in second fix should then be resurveyed prior to occupation. A pre-occupation FRA may be commissioned without our Fire Safety Site Auditor Services.

O&M support – this may be provided as part of our Fire Safety Site Auditor services or as an individual package.

RIBA Stage 7

Occupation of the premises.

Upon occupation of the premises, we are trained to carry out a fully comprehensive fire risk assessment in accordance with PAS 79. We will evaluate potential hazards and the effectiveness of existing fire safety measures to ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Our fire risk assessment process can include a pre-occupation FRA, crucial for early detection of any issues in door linings, service installations, and fire stopping measures, ensuring compliance and facilitating timely recommendations for enhancements.

We can offer fire safety appraisals of the passive and active fire safety measures present within the premises to include; compartmentation surveys, fire door inspections, loft surveys and a review of the practical application of the fire

strategy.
